How Can Humility Increase Our Capacity to Learn and Grow?
What is the connection between Moses’ humility and the level of his prophecy?
In this unit, humility is presented not as weakness but as receptivity. A person who is convinced that he already knows, understands and deserves everything has less room to receive something new. Moses’ humility is therefore connected to a larger capacity to become a vessel for what is beyond the self. The lesson reaches ordinary learning as well: students, parents and leaders all grow when they can listen without immediately defending their status. Humility does not mean having no judgment or no confidence. It means leaving enough internal space for truth, criticism and another person’s wisdom to enter before the ego closes the door.
