Why Is It So Hard to Live in a World We Cannot Control?
Much of human anxiety grows in the gap between responsibility and control. We can plan, save, consult, protect, and make careful decisions, yet no amount of effort can guarantee the future. The inner work is not to become passive, but to distinguish what is truly ours to do from what was never ours to command. Faith does not erase uncertainty. It allows a person to act responsibly without demanding certainty as the price of peace. The question becomes not, “How do I make sure nothing goes wrong?” but, “What is the right step I can take now, even though I cannot control the outcome?”
