The danger of a powerful spiritual moment is assuming that the emotion itself is the change. The day after Yom Kippur asks a simpler and harder question: what enters breakfast, traffic, work, marriage, parenting, money, and the phone in your hand? Human growth is not measured only by the height of one exceptional day. It is measured by whether one insight becomes one sustainable action. The goal is not to preserve the intensity of Ne’ilah forever, but to translate it into a habit that can survive an ordinary Tuesday.
