What Would Change If We Knew This Was Our Last Year?
Awareness of mortality can frighten us, but it can also clarify us. If time were visibly limited, many urgent things would suddenly look small, while relationships, unfinished apologies, health, prayer, learning, and presence would become difficult to postpone. The point is not to live as though every day were a countdown. It is to let finitude expose the difference between what is loud and what is important. A meaningful life is not built only from dramatic choices; it is built from giving the right things enough of our ordinary days before they become memories.
